I always ask my clients if they have a location that’s special to them for their engagement session. I was thrilled when Brittany informed me that both she and Ben were firefighters in Stovall, North Carolina and wanted to photograph at the fire station. I’ve seen plenty of engagement sessions with one firefighter but I love getting the chance to explore something that makes each wedding couple unique.
If you are planning a wedding or a portrait session in general, take a moment to stop and think about some locations that might be unique to you. Can you include a special activity that you enjoy? A hobby? Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and let your photographer know any ideas you have no matter how off the wall they may be. A great photographer can make art just about anywhere and a special location can go a long way to telling your story in a more rich way.
